Justin McMillen
Founder and CEO of Tree House Recovery Denver
After years of struggling with his own addiction, Justin McMillen made it his mission to help others recover from substance use disorder (SUD). He began by offering sober housing in 2008, providing a safe space for those new to recovery. Over time, Justin saw many people leaving traditional rehab programs relapsing, unable to escape the cycle of abuse.
In 2013, Justin founded Tree House Recovery after researching why people leaving traditional rehab programs relapsed and how he could help them by creating an innovative addiction treatment program.
Bringing together a team of SUD treatment pioneers, Justin worked to reshape what drug and alcohol treatment should look like. At the heart of their approach is the belief that a proven path to healthy living exists—and that following it leads to lasting, sustainable sobriety.
Each addiction therapist at Tree House is personally selected by Justin, who believes that the key to success lies in finding the most skilled and compassionate counselors. For Justin, Tree House’s effectiveness is rooted in its core principle: health professionals helping others achieve health.
