Ryan is a Master level clinician with an extensive background in both fitness and addiction counseling psychology.  Ryan is Tree House’s National Clinical Director as well as the developer and supervisor of ESM, a revolutionary form of therapy used at Tree House Recovery that targets brain chemistry health through functional fitness training exercises.   His groundbreaking work at Tree House has attracted clients from all over the globe including Olympic, professional, and collegiate athletes who struggle with substance abuse and mental health issues. 

Bain’s clinical education is coupled with experience as an accomplished athlete, personal trainer, and sports coach which provides him a deep understanding into the therapeutic value of physical exertion and teamwork. He utilizes an integrative approach to counseling in order to adapt to client needs on their path toward biological, psychological and social optimization.  Along with working directly with clients in the helping profession, Bain is also on the Management Board of Directors for Sparking Life Inc., a nonprofit organization founded by academics from Harvard dedicated to fueling a national movement to communicate the overwhelming evidence that physical exercise enhances brain development, improves mental health, and reduces addictive behavior.
